Indiana University bought the Seiberling Mansion property in 1946 for $25,000.00 - and occupied the property as IU-Kokomo until 1965.

The Seiberling Mansion/Howard County Historical Museum is located just West of downtown Kokomo in the heart of the Old Silk Stocking neighborhood.

From US 31: Turn West on Sycamore Street and drive through historic downtown Kokomo. Cross Washington Street and continue West to the 1200 block of Sycamore Street. Pass the mansion and turn right at the next intersection which is Phillips Street. Turn right again on Walnut Street. Free parking is available behind the mansion.
