Support

The Howard County Historical Society board of directors is committed to expanding the historical society's capacity to raise funds to support the development of local history programs and services in our community. In addition the board is focused on expanding the museum collection and providing volunteer opportunities related to local history.

The board of directors adopted a fund raising plan that would allow the historical society to continue to serve Howard County and meet our mission long into the future. The board is concentrating on expanding the membership of the organization, implement an end of the year annual campaign, and providing our friends with opportunities to give to the endowment funds or establish their own fund to benefit the society.

The historical society will continue to add to the collection significant artifacts that enhance the collection and help to tell the story of our rich heritage. All donations to the collection will be considered under the guidelines of a collecting policy adopted by the board and executed by the staff.

The historical society could not operate without the support of our dedicated volunteers. Volunteers are needed to share their time to complete a variety of projects.
