Event Facilities

Elliott House set-up 2The Howard County Historical Society has beautiful facilities that can be rented for special occasions such as weddings, bridal and baby showers, rehearsal dinners, graduation parties, birthday, and anniversary celebrations and workshops.

Payment accepted via phone or in person at museum office. Rental date not guaranteed until completed rental application and payment of damage deposit are received. Rental and staff fees due 30 days prior to event. 

Elliott House set-up 2
The Elliott House
Includes use of first floor, full catering kitchen, 2nd floor dressing room, two bathrooms, house porches, tables and chairs for up to 50 people. Maximum capacity 50 people. See rental application for more details. 
  • $200 damage deposit due at signing to hold date.
  • Monday-Thursday: $150 for 3 hours, $50 per hour for each additional hour or $325 for full day 
  • Friday-Sunday: $225 for 3 hours, $75 per hour for each additional hour or $400 for full day
  • $200 Elliott House side-yard use fee and full-day rental required for large tent set-up
The Seiberling Mansion
Includes use of foyer and main staircase, mansion porches and chairs for up to 25 people. Maximum capacity 25 people. Not available Tuesday-Sunday 1-4pm or during some special events. See rental application for more details. 
  • $250 damage deposit due at signing to hold date
  • Rental and staff fees due 30 days prior to event
  • $400 for 2 hours 
  • $200 per hour for each additional hour
  • $50-100 supervisory staff fee

Grounds
Includes use of east garden, lawn in front of mansion, mansion porch and lawn between the mansion and Elliott House.
No access to interiors or restrooms. Mansion porch and grounds are not available Tuesday-Sunday 1-4pm or during some special events. See rental application for more details. 
  • $200 damage deposit due at signing of hold date
  • Rental fee due 30 days prior to event
  • $250 for 2 hours
  • $100 per hour for each additional hour
