Christmas Lighting Ceremony

Christmas Lighting Ceremony

The tradition of “Christmas at the Seiberling” returns on Saturday, November 25th, with the lighting ceremony and opening night tours of the mansion. Santa will arrive at 6:00 p.m. that evening to help flip the switch and light up the mansion and grounds, then the doors will be opened for visitors to enjoy the holiday decorations and the Victorian splendor of Seiberling Mansion.

With displays hailing from Norway to Mexico and Russia to the Mediterranean, visitors to the Howard County Museum’s annual Christmas at the Seiberling celebration this year will be treated to “Christmas Around the World.” Live music is also scheduled, including the Kokomo Brass and the Kokomo Men of Note.

Along with the amazing and beautiful decorations, Santa will meet with families and children for photographs and fun in the Elliott House, next door to Seiberling Mansion. Cookies and Wassail will be served in Elliott House, as well.

Seiberling Mansion and Elliott House are located in the 1200 block of West Sycamore Street in Kokomo, and are managed in the public interest by the Howard County Historical Society. The mansion is home to the Howard County Museum. Regular hours are Tuesday through Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., with special evening hours on select Thursdays and Fridays during December.

Christmas at the Seiberling is sponsored by the Wyman Group.
