Plan Your Visit

Just a few things to know ahead of time: parking is free and the parking lot entrance is behind the museum off West Walnut Street. See the map at the bottom of this page for reference. The Howard County Museum is located inside the Seiberling Mansion. The public entrance is the front door of the mansion but there is an access ramp by the rear entrance for those needing assistance. There is no interior elevator, but a virtual tour video of the second and third floors is available on the first floor. Please advise that there are restrooms on the first and second floor inside the mansion, but they are not wheelchair accessible. Visitors are free to enjoy the museum and mansion at their own pace. Bring your smartphone or similar device for access to special exhibit QR code features. Visitors are greeted by HCHS Volunteer hosts who can orient you and answer questions.

Advance notice is requested for large groups. Please call 765-452-4314 to make arrangements for your group.
